Commissioner for Fundamental Rights Attends ENNHRI Online Conference

The European Network of National Human Rights Institutions (ENNHRI) held its high-level meeting on 26–27 April 2021 online, which was also attended by Dr. Ákos Kozma, Commissioner for Fundamental Rights.

The European Network of National Human Rights Institutions (ENNHRI) held its high-level meeting on 26–27 April 2021 online, which was also attended by Dr. Ákos Kozma, Commissioner for Fundamental Rights.

The key topic of the conference was the overview of the tasks related to the Recommendation of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers on developing and strengthening efficient, pluralistic and independent NHRIs.

The meeting, which was organised jointly by the German presidency of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers and the European Network of National Human Rights Institutions, provided an occasion for the high-level representatives of the ENNHRI member organisations – i.e. European Ombudsmen, and presidents of human rights institutions and committees – and Council of Europe members to discuss further opportunities of cooperation.
