Visit to Fire Brigade in Gyula

On 13 October 2020, the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights visited the Fire Brigade in Gyula. Dr. Ákos Kozma was received by Director of the Békés County Directorate for Disaster Management, Brigadier General Fire Service András Zoltán Kiss, Crew Manager, Lieutenant-Colonel Fire Service Mrs. Ágnes Varga Vincze, and Fire Chief of the Gyula Fire Brigade, Lieutenant-Colonel Fire Service István Zanócz.

During the official visit, the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights was briefed about the operation and the main duties of the Békés County Directorate for Disaster Management, and he also inquired about the health-related measures introduced in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, as well as their practical implementation. After the consultation, Dr. Ákos Kozma viewed the building of the municipal fire brigade, and he inspected the technical equipment and the vehicles, as well.
