Ombudsman Visits Fire Brigade in Makó

On 13 October 2020, Dr. Ákos Kozma visited the Fire Brigade in Makó. The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights was received by Director of the Csongrád-Csanád County Directorate for Disaster Management, Brigadier General Fire Service Imre Szatmári, Deputy Chief of Finances of the Csongrád-Csanád County Directorate for Disaster Management, Colonel Fire Service Zoltán Mészáros, Crew Manager, Lieutenant-Colonel Fire Service Emília Tóth, and Fire Chief of the Makó Fire Brigade, Lieutenant-Colonel Fire Service Róbert Balogh.

During the official visit, the Ombudsman was briefed in detail about the operation of the Csongrád-Csanád County Directorate for Disaster Management, as well as the preventive measures introduced in connection with the coronavirus pandemic. At the end of the visit, the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights viewed the building of the municipal fire brigade, the technical equipment and the vehicles, and he met with the staff members on duty.
