Ombudsman Visits Border Crossing Station at Hercegszántó

On 17 September 2020, Dr. Ákos Kozma visited the border crossing point between Hercegszántó and Bački Breg (Béreg).

On 17 September 2020, Dr. Ákos Kozma visited the border crossing point between Hercegszántó and Bački Breg (Béreg).

Accompanied by Head of Law Enforcement Directorate of the Bács-Kiskun County Police Headquarters, Chief Counsel of Police, Police Colonel László Arató, the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights inspected the control of traffic passing through the border, as well as the border patrol on the Serbian section of the border – a task jointly performed by the Police, the Hungarian Armed Forces and the Rapid Response and Special Police Services. Canine patrols also assist in the protection of border.

The session focused on Report no. B/7848 on the activities of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary and his deputies in 2023.
