The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary and His Two Deputies Attended the Meeting of the National Assembly’s Committee on Justice
On 6 May 2025, Dr. Ákos Kozma, the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary, Dr. Elisabeth Sándor-Szalay, Deputy Commissioner for the Rights of National Minorities and Dr. Gyula Bándi, Deputy Commissioner for Future Generations, took part in the meeting of the National Assembly’s Committee on Justice. The committee discussed Report No. B/11125 on the activities of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights and his deputies in the year 2024.

Bilateral Consultation with the Executives of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe
On 10 April 2025, Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary Dr Ákos Kozma paid an official visit to Warsaw, where he held meetings with Ms Maria Telalian, Director of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), as well as with the executives of the Office’s various specialized departments.

On 20 December 2024, the National Assembly accepted report No. B/7847 on the 2023 Activities of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary and his Deputies with 125 votes in favour.

Human Rights Day in the Office of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary
To mark the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, an awards ceremony was held in the Office of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary on 16 December, 2024. During the celebration, Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary Dr. Ákos Kozma granted several commendations and the Justitia Regnorum Fundamentum Award.
