null Commissioner for Fundamental Rights Visits Letenye Border Crossing Point

On 23 April 2020, Ombudsman Dr. Ákos Kozma paid a visit to the Letenye Motorway – Goričan II road border crossing point. The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights, accompanied by Director of Police Complaints Department of his Office Dr. Domonkos Wildner, inspected traffic passing through the Hungarian–Croatian border, as well as the implementation of healthcare measures adopted in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

The border crossing station at Letenye operates even during the period of state of danger ordered due to the coronavirus pandemic. The border crossing point is open for those Hungarian and Croatian citizens who live within the zone of 30 kilometres around the Hungarian–Croatian border and work for a company having its headquarters within this area, i.e., for citizens commuting to the neighbouring country to their place of work on a daily basis.
