null Ombudsman’s Briefing on Monitoring the Activities of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County School Guards

Ombudsman dr. Ákos Kozma held a professional briefing about the comprehensive monitoring activity performed by the Office of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights (AJBH) regarding the work of the school guards serving in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County, with regard to the enforcement of fundamental rights. The briefing was held at the County Police Headquarters in Miskolc on 17 February 2022.

Police Major General, Chief Police Counsellor, Chief of County Police dr. Attila Kiss, the senior staff members of the National Police Headquarters (ORFK) and the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Police Headquarters, as well as the district police coordinators of the work of school guards took part in the meeting.

The staff members of the Office of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights paid visits to as many as seventy-five public education institutions in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County in September and October 2021, including primary schools, secondary grammar schools and vocational training schools, where they obtained information on the enforcement of fundamental rights by the school guards serving at these institutions.
