null Ombudsman Conducts Consultation with Representatives of Venice Commission

Dr. Ákos Kozma, Commissioner for Fundamental Rights, and Dr. Elisabeth Sándor-Szalay, Deputy Commissioner, Ombudsman for the Rights of National Minorities living in Hungary, took part in an online consultation with the representatives of the Venice Commission (European Commission for Democracy through Law) on 14 September 2021.


During the consultation, the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights and the Deputy Commissioner, Ombudsman for the Rights of National Minorities living in Hungary, explained their position regarding the Office of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights, in response to the questions posed by the representatives of the CoE’s advisory body composed of independent constitutional lawyers, and gave detailed information about the operation of the Office.
