On 30 January 2024, Dr. Ákos Kozma, the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary, undertook an official visit to Geneva. Among his engagements was a meeting with Edouard Sabot, the Cantonal Ombudsman.
The bilateral session served as a platform for both parties to introduce their respective institutions and share insights into their approaches towards addressing fundamental rights issues. Dr. Kozma also took the opportunity to outline the expanded competences of his office.

The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary, Dr. Ákos Kozma, visited the Vámosszabadi Reception Centre, operated by the National Directorate-General for Aliens Policing.
Dr. Kozma was joined by Dr. Domonkos Wildner, General Director for Police Complaints. They were welcomed by Brigadier General Dr. Sándor Gömbös, Director General of the Directorate-General for Aliens Policing.
