null Polish Ombudsman in Hungary

At the invitation of Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary Dr. Ákos Kozma, Polish Ombudsman Marcin Wiącek arrived in Hungary on 24 May 2023.


 

During the visit, he gained first-hand information on the direct legal and humanitarian support provided to the persons fleeing the war in Ukraine by the Office of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary, among others, at the Beregsurány and other information points. 



Furthermore, the Polish Ombudsman was informed about the operation of the regional offices of AJBH and held coordination talks, among others, with Police Brigadier General, Police Chief of Hajdú-Bihar County Dr. József Gyurosovics, as well as the regional leaders of the National Directorate-General for Aliens Policing and the National Directorate-General for Disaster Management. 

As part of the professional visit, Mr. Marcin Wiącek inspected the Disability Directorate of the Office of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary, as well as its Debrecen Field Office.
