Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary Inspects the completion of the first phase of the renovation of Veszprém-gyulafirátót Children’s Home
Ombudsman Dr. Ákos Kozma inspected the completion of the first phase of the renovation work of the Veszprém-gyulafirátót Children’s Home on 13 December 2022.
Just like last year, the National Headquarters of the Hungarian Prison Service, as well as the state forest management companies such as VERGA Veszprémi Erdőgazdaság Zrt and Mecsekerdő Zrt took part in the renovation of two institutions, i.e. Veszprém–gyulafirátót Children’s Home and the Szentlőrinc Group Home of the Saint Ágota Child Protection Service at the initiative of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights.

The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary, Dr. Ákos Kozma, visited the Vámosszabadi Reception Centre, operated by the National Directorate-General for Aliens Policing.
Dr. Kozma was joined by Dr. Domonkos Wildner, General Director for Police Complaints. They were welcomed by Brigadier General Dr. Sándor Gömbös, Director General of the Directorate-General for Aliens Policing.

On 29 October 2024, Dr. Ákos Kozma, Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary, and Dr. Elisabeth Sándor-Szalay, Deputy Commissioner for the Rights of National Minorities in Hungary, attended the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Nationalities in Hungary. The session focused on Report no. B/7848 on the activities of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary and his deputies in 2023.
