null COMMISSIONER FOR FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS GIVES PRESENTATION AT TRAINING COURSE FOR BORDER GUARDS

Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary Dr. Ákos Kozma, gave a presentation on the enforcement of fundamental rights at the training course for contracted border guards in Nyírbátor on 31 August 2022. The Ombudsman was received by Brigadier General, Senior Police Advisor, Chief of Police of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County József Farkas, and Lieutenant-Colonel, Head of the Education and Training Department of the County Police Headquarters Attila Usztics.


 

During the four-week, 160-hour training course, those applying for membership  in the Border Guard of the National Standby Police will acquire theoretical knowledge and practical application of the use of coercive means, as well as the provisions of the Schengen Borders Code and the knowledge required for the protection of the state border. The legal training focuses on fundamental human rights, criminal law and the law on misdemeanours, among others.
