Ombudsman Attends FEANTSA Conference

Dr. Ákos Kozma took part in the conference organised by the European Federation of National Organisations working with the Homeless (FEANTSA) on 2-3 June 2022.

The key topic of the consultation was the elimination of homelessness but the questions of the housing of asylum-seekers and climate change were also discussed.

In the framework of the conference, the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary provided information on the efforts taken by the ombudsman on the Hungarian-Ukrainian border section to directly support the persons fleeing from the war in Ukraine, as well as on the operation of the temporary information points. 

FEANTSA’s goal is to eliminate homelessness, it is active in as many as 30 countries and has 120 member organisations.
