On 22 March 2022, Commissioner for Fundamental Rights Dr. Ákos Kozma and his staff members handed over the donations collected for the Lónya Help Point to the volunteers of the Hungarian Red Cross.

Office of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights Opens Miskolc Regional Office

On 22 March 2022, the Office of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights opened its regional office in Miskolc. Thus, from 1 April 2022, citizens will be able to personally request the Ombudsman’s inquiry not only in Szeged, Debrecen and Győr, but also in this major city of Northern Hungary. As Dr. Ákos Kozma, Commissioner for Fundamental Rights underlined during the opening ceremony, the regional offices allow for more efficient contacts with citizens, as well as with persons fleeing to Hungary from the war in Ukraine.

Dr. Ákos Kozma Delivers Speech at ÉFOÉSZ Anniversary Event

The Hungarian Association for Persons with Intellectual Disability (ÉFOÉSZ) celebrated its 40th anniversary on 21 March 2022 at the Museum of Fine Arts. At the anniversary event, Commissioner for Fundamental Rights Dr. Ákos Kozma also greeted the participants.
