On 18 February 2021, Dr. Ákos Kozma visited the Szentgotthárd Specialised Nursing Home.

The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights was shown around in the biggest nursing home of Hungary looking after patients with chronic psychiatric disease by Head of Institution Beáta Hargitai Takácsné. Over the past years, numerous Ombudsman’s reports have been written on the 734-bed specialised nursing home. Dr. Ákos Kozma inquired about the implementation of the healthcare measures taken with a view to the prevention of the coronavirus pandemic, as well as about the living conditions of the patients and the working conditions of the specialised staff taking care of them.
