In order to provide direct help to the refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine, the staff members of the Office of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights provide administrative assistance and legal counselling to them, and they also assist in the humanitarian relief efforts.

The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary, Dr. Ákos Kozma, visited the Vámosszabadi Reception Centre, operated by the National Directorate-General for Aliens Policing.
Dr. Kozma was joined by Dr. Domonkos Wildner, General Director for Police Complaints. They were welcomed by Brigadier General Dr. Sándor Gömbös, Director General of the Directorate-General for Aliens Policing.
