null Baja Group Home Renovated upon Ombudsman’s Initiative

The Hungarian Prison Service Headquarters has finished the renovation works in the Baja Group Home maintained by the Saint Agatha Child Protection Service, in which it participated at the initiative of the Ombudsman.

On 27 December 2021, Dr. Ákos Kozma, the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights, Mr. László Kiss-Rigó, Bishop of the Szeged-Csanád Diocese and Prison Colonel, Prison Counsellor Mr. Tamás Farsang, Deputy Director General for Finance and IT of the Hungarian Prison Service Headquarters paid a visit to the institution, where they inspected the results of the modernisation works.

As part of the renovation works carried out in the recent weeks, at the initiative of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights, the Hungarian Prison Service Headquarters redecorated the internal premises of the group home and revamped the furniture of the rooms.

In addition to checking the results of the refurbishment, Ombudsman Dr. Ákos Kozma donated toys and gifts to the Baja Group Home, which were collected and offered to the children living there by the staff members of the Office of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights.
