The fifteen-member Civil Consultative Body (CCB) that supports the performance of the tasks of the OPCAT National Preventive Mechanism (NPM) held its second meeting this year on 17 December 2021, which had been convened by Commissioner for Fundamental Rights Dr Ákos Kozma in an online form, with regard to the Covid–19-pandemic.

In his welcome speech, Dr Ákos Kozma emphasised that the OPCAT National Preventive Mechanism had visited a high number of sites since CCB’s inaugural meeting on 22 September 2021, including penitentiary institutions and police facilities, as well as child protection institutions and old-age homes, then he provided information on the activities performed by the Office of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights since the last CCB session. A memorandum on the CCB meeting will be prepared, which the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights will display on the homepage of the Office.
