null Commissioner for Fundamental Rights Gives Talk at Ceremonial Tree Planting

On 21 October 2021, Ombudsman Dr. Ákos Kozma participated in a ceremonial tree planting within the framework of the Settlement Afforestation Programme at Tarján in Komárom-Esztergom County. In his speech, the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights emphasized that “forests can form a bridge between the present and future generations”, and the planting of this tree is a noble example of taking steps towards safeguarding the future.

The ceremony was attended by Pál Völner, Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice and Deputy Minister, Péter Zambó, State Secretary for Forests and Balázs Steindl, Vice President of the Komárom-Esztergom County Government.

Within the framework of the Settlement Afforestation Programme, settlements with less than 10,000 inhabitants could take altogether 24,000 trees free of charge.
