Ombudsman Inquires About the Activity of School Guards in Encs-Fügöd

On 21 September 2021, dr. Ákos Kozma paid a visit to the Fügöd Branch Institution of the Encs-based Zrínyi Ilona Primary School and Primary Art School.

The meeting with the school director and the school guard on duty focused on the presentation of the experience gathered in connection with the school guard’s activities: among others, the Ombudsman inquired about the reception of the recently introduced school guard system among the pupils and their parents, whether there had been any extreme cases of violence, and whether the school guard had ever had to intervene at the educational institution. Following the consultation, the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights also visited the part of the school building which had been damaged in an unfortunate fire incident on 13 September 2021.
