Dr. Ákos Kozma Gives Talk at XII. Media Conference of Save the Children International
The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary Dr Ákos Kozma gave a talk entitled “Defence Mechanisms – Experience of Ombudsman’s Inquiries into the Operation of the Defence and Legal Remedy System of Online Child Protection” at the XII. Media Conference held at the auditorium of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences on 26 September 2022.
This year’s Media Conference of Save the Children International, which is already the 12th such occasion, was opened by the President of the organisation Dr Péter Edvi, and as many as thirty-three experts held presentations at the two-day event.
Save the Children International launched its series of media conferences and research entitled “The impact of media on children and youngsters“, which examines the media use of children and the changes thereof, in 1997.

The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary, Dr. Ákos Kozma, visited the Vámosszabadi Reception Centre, operated by the National Directorate-General for Aliens Policing.
Dr. Kozma was joined by Dr. Domonkos Wildner, General Director for Police Complaints. They were welcomed by Brigadier General Dr. Sándor Gömbös, Director General of the Directorate-General for Aliens Policing.

On 29 October 2024, Dr. Ákos Kozma, Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary, and Dr. Elisabeth Sándor-Szalay, Deputy Commissioner for the Rights of National Minorities in Hungary, attended the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Nationalities in Hungary. The session focused on Report no. B/7848 on the activities of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary and his deputies in 2023.
