Dr. Ákos Kozma and his staff members conducted an on-site inspection at the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Remand Prison on 5 October 2023 in the framework of the Optional Protocol to the Convention Against Torture (OPCAT) National Preventive Mechanism (NPM). The Ombudsman was received by head of the institution Prison Colonel Mr. Tamás István Perger.

Commissioner for Fundamental Rights Dr. Ákos Kozma and President of the Hungarian Competition Authority Mr. Csaba Balázs Rigó awarded prizes to the winners of the student competition entitled “V4 Competition Law and Fundamental Rights Challenge” at the headquarters of the Hungarian Competition Authority on 04 October 2023.
