null Commissioner for Fundamental Rights Visits “Gondviselés Háza” in Göd

On 26 May 2021, Ombudsman Dr. Ákos Kozma and the staff members of the Department for Equal Opportunities and Children’s Rights of the Office of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights visited an institution operated by the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta, called “Gondviselés Háza” (House of Providence) – Home for Disabled Persons.

The Ombudsman and his staff talked with Emília Morva, regional manager of the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta for Central Hungary, Zsuzsanna Szilvásy, head of institution, and Péter Giflo, project manager. Following their discussions, they were shown around the institution where they observed the living conditions of the residents and the working conditions of the professional staff looking after them.

The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights will publish a report on his findings related to his visit at the institution accommodating about two hundred persons living with mental or multiple disabilities.
