null Visit to Border Crossing Point at Hegyeshalom

On 19 February 2021, Commissioner for Fundamental Rights Dr. Ákos Kozma paid a visit to the motorway border crossing point between Hegyeshalom (Hungary) and Nickelsdorf (Austria), where he was received by Chief Police Counsellor, Police Brigadier General dr. Zoltán László Urbán, Chief of the Győr-Moson-Sopron County Police Headquarters, and Police Colonel dr. Zsolt Forrai, Head of Law Enforcement Directorate of the Győr-Moson-Sopron County Police Headquarters.

Accompanied by Director of Police Complaints of the OCFR Dr. Domonkos Wildner, the Ombudsman inspected the control of traffic passing through the Austrian-Hungarian border. He was informed about the current data on border traffic, as well as about the implementation of the healthcare measures taken for the prevention of the spreading of the coronavirus pandemic, and he also met with police officers on duty at the border.
