On 10 February 2021, the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights paid a visit to the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Police Headquarters.

Ombudsman Dr. Ákos Kozma was received by Police Counsellor, Police Colonel dr. Tamás Sándor Mecser, acting Chief of County Police.

During the meeting, the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights was provided with detailed information about the operation of the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Police Headquarters, as well as about the current public safety situation in the county. At the consultation, the presentation of the activity of school guards on duty in 74 educational institutions in the county, and the healthcare measures taken in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic were given high priority.
