Ombudsman Attends Inauguration Ceremony of New Officers at the National University of Public Service

Commissioner for Fundamental Rights Dr. Ákos Kozma attended the inauguration ceremony of new officers of the Faculty of Law Enforcement at the National University of Public Service in Budapest. During the ceremony held in the Kapisztrán Square located in the Buda Castle district, 102 students took an oath of service in front of a replica of the Holy Crown of Hungary and the historical flags.

The coronavirus pandemic brought a number of new challenges into the lives of officer candidates as well. In addition to continuing their studies through distance education, they also had to fulfil their service obligations: they carried out law enforcement tasks arising from the COVID-19 situation for two and a half months.
