null Delegation from the Kiev University of Law

On September 17, a delegation from the Ukraine  paid a visit to our Office as part of the cooperation between the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information and the Kiev University of Law.

The Office of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights was represented by Gergely Szabó while the Kiev University delegation included six students and their rector Yurii Boshitsky. Gergely Szabó gave a brief overview of the history of the institution of the Ombudsman in Hungary, the competence of the Commissioner and his Deputies, the possible ways to submit complaints, the laws concerning the Ombudsman, the investigation procedures, as well as the average annual number and distribution of petitions. After the presentation, the Ukrainian law students were given the opportunity to ask questions about the Office, and a potential long-term academic cooperation between our Office and the Kiev University of Law was also outlined.
